So much to tell!!

Gosh where shall i start........ ummm okie i'm goin to conveniently left out certain details of what had happened to me recently, just so that i avoid all the numerous phone calls and text msgs that wld go, " Hey rena! Why happened? Oh my gosh! Why u never tell me huh? or Rena how cld u have not told me this? "...so better don't to open the can of worms... =)

Year 2009 totally didn't start out the way i had wished and prayed for. It was horrible for me personally. But ya know wat?! Something sorta good finally came out it. Time away from work allowed me to do and seeing things that i wld have NEVER had the time to do. It was the most simple things that made be really happy the past couple of days. And i made a list of the things i had done and was able to experience. Hopefully this will serve as a reminder sld i ever slip back into workin a lil too much....
  1. Got to spend quality time with my mum; shopping, cooking, & simply chatting (*haven't done that in a very long long time despite the fact we live under the same roof*)
  2. Had a sleep-over party @ my cousin sista's place (*I was so delighted that i got to spend time with almost ALL my little cousins, nieces and nephews. This was a BLAST man! =) *)
  3. Have three or more healthy meals a days. And yes.. I did it! (* Home-cooked food, desserts and a whole lot more with NO junk food nor carbonated drinks *)

  4. Went to visit my granny after sooo long (*Man this felt good! To get her blessing, eating her scrumptious food. Man i love it! *)
  5. Waking up late! Now this i totally loved doing it. (*Woke up watever time i felt like, and watched my favourite shows all day*)

  6. Went to the beach. Thanks to stephy, i managed to motivate myself to get up and go out and soak in the Sun, Sand & the Sea. (*Thanks alot stephy... u were a great tour guide as well...hahah*)
  7. Visited the Temple. This was the one last thing i had really really wanted to do. (*Man it felt freakin awwsome!*)

Now that i'm all rejuvenated and a postive person, i hope and pray to God that i can kept up this pace and bring the positive vibe to work. I'm sure it'll do others a favour as well.... =)

Signing out...as a Happier and Healthier Rena... Peace out!! =)

NEW YEAR, NEW LIFE....

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!
Can't believe that a year had just passed by in an blink of an eye man. Man! did i have one HECK of year. Some days were bad, some days were horrendous & of course i had some really FREAKIN awwsome days as well.... Well no matter what kind of madness and joy i had experienced in 2008, it was ALL a learning journey for me as a young adult.
I personally and very strongly believe that I've matured alot and have fine-tuned myself to adapt to all the hoopla that's constantly surrounding me. I've to give thanks to GOD for having at least a lil mercy on me...but i'm sure he cld do better... LOL..
Thanks to my family for putting up with all my crazy mood-swings and tolerating the fact that i'm rarely at home.
Thanks to my dear darlins who often knocks some cow sense into me and always making sure tat i don't go kuku crazy and end up in an ayslum ...hahah....
Thanks to my cousins and aunts who never fail to ask of my well-being and they are always so very much supportive in all tat i do.
I certaintly hope and pray to god tat 2009 will be THE year tat i set sail to greater heights.
So CHEERS to that!!!

Time Flies...Too fast

The end of 2008 is fast approaching..and my oh my do I have soo much to update ya'll with. Ok I'm going to try and list down all the major stuff that had occured in recent times... so here it goes;-

1. Receptionist of the Year 2008 (ROTY), December 2nd 2008

Gosh it's been such a roller coaster ride for me. This journey to ROTY wasn't an easy thing to go through, so kudos to all the hardwork to ALL the finalist, of whom I'm so fortunate to have become such good buddies with. The fact that I won 2nd runner is such a HUGE accomplishment for me. I'll by lying if i said I wasn't disappointed that I hadn't won 1st, but hey not even one will get a chance to say they are the top 3 Receptionist in the whole of Singapore. So I'm a happy camper!! Really blessed.. =)

2. Dad's Union of Sercurity Employees 30th Anniversary Dinner & Dance, 24th November 2008

This was a proud moment for all of us in the family. To see my dad being honored by all his peers and even the ministers surely made me sooo immensely proud of him. This dinner and dance to celebrate 30 amazing years in the Private security industry had been a dream come true for my dad. All the countless hours of being away from home, fighting for people's right and working hard to being up the level of the security industry ain't an easy job. The fact is that my dad and his small team of hardworking and loyal colleagues did such an amazing job; they dedicated an entire book to these hardworking men and women. Great job guys!!

3. Shaila's Wedding 22nd November 2008

This was a jaw dropping news when my own friend announced that she was going to get married! I mean i've got more than a handful of buddies who have got hitched and some even have 2 kids...but this was different. She's like one of my closest buddies & she's married! Gosh i'm soo freaking happy for her man. Moreover it was soooo delightful to meet almost all of my secondary sch and some friends of mine who attended the wedding. It was such a colourful and fun-filled day. I mean we were all making soo much of noise, catching up with each other lives. Some of my friends are also planning to get married, one of them brought their kid and some are even planning to get an apartment. Good lord! Everyone has grown up sooooo much! Looks like some took the family path and some took the career path. I surely have no plans to get married or even have kids... at least not for the next 5 years or more... LOL...

4. GM's Challenge Trophy 5th December 2008

Looks like this year Fairmont Singapore is on a winning spree. I certainly hope to god that the winning spree continues in the years to come. This year we were set to hold to the title of Champions for the Men's Football and Women's Handball match. And boy did we smash SwissĂ´tel the Stamford in the first half of the Ladies Handball match. Out score was like 11 vs 2 in the first half, which completely unbelievable coz we most of us in the team were pint size. Looks like size does NOT matter! Anyway it was a crazy ass match with us girls almost that close into getting into a brawl. Yesh u heard it right.. But watever man... we still won.. AGAIN!!! Woohoo!!

Tension.. My oh My....

Sometimes i feel like the BIGGEST fool in world. To let pple walk all over me. Then when I finally speak up, these idiots say shit like... oh why u soo bossy? Why you so moody...? Why this? Why that? Like wat the FUCK man!! Get a life you pple... Go pick on someone else.

Every damn place I've EVER traveled to, worked @ or studied at... always have bunch of MOTHERFUCKERS i tell you. One major thing never changes either... the "name-calling". I always seem to have really mean pple around me, calling me names. These assholes think it's funny but i find it VERY rude and inappropriate..esp when it's at work and WORST infront of guests.

I'M SICK OF IT!!

It's very apparent tat these pple aren't very well-educated neither did they have any good up bringing. I mean before you judge me and say.. oh my gosh... why is Rena being so mean and saying stuff like?! Well as cliché as it may sound...truth hurts ya'll... These pple just don't have one single ounce of respect for their peers.

Hate them all........

Don't let the header of my blog entry frighten ya... It's just tat i've been at work for long hours all thanks to my ROTY training and the Direct check-in @ the executive lounge. Please don't get me wrong... i ain't complaining coz it's part of my job and it's technically what I'm being paid for.. SO yeap....

Well today was launch day for the much awaited direct check-in after donkey years. Fortunately everything went smoothly. Phew!!.. Kudos to all the hardwork and effort put in by my dear darlins & buddies @ work... Jackie, Luan, Ian, Sandra and all the butlers... U're the best!

The day continued for me...i had a long and intensive training with Ms Pek.. my former Front Office Manager & now the official Fairmont Trainer. I asked her ALOT of questions that will hopefully be useful for my competition.. which by the way is in due time... I feel a HEAVY burden on my shoulder... coz every1 has sooo much of faith in me to EXCEL during the finals... Oh boy!! I'm trying my level best to give it my all... coz trust me ya'll... I want this BAD... I really really wanna WIN this coz i've put my blood, sweat and tears into this man...

Wish me luck.....

I'm goin to cut this short...coz I'm feeling a lil dizzy already... too darn sleepy i tell you... Haiz... time to get my beauty sleep... Night Night....

I fear tat i might have a relapse of my panic attack....

There's no rime or reason to feel this way i tell u....

Something is NOT right....

Is this some kind of a sign?
