Back from the Dead

Ok i know my blog site has been more or else like super DEAD... but guess wat... I'M BACK!!!!! Since it's the season of awwwsome Summer Blockbuster Movies, plus since i'm such a movie freak... looks like it time once again... after VERY VERY long...... for me to do wat i do best.... be a Critic.....

This might be one of the first romantic comedy movies for this summer. If ya'll know me well enough.... u guy will know tat I'm SOOO NOT into romantic flicks, but I was compelled to watch MAID OF HONOR, all thanks to my niece and nephew who insisted that I watched the movie with em and my brother. What a bunch of weird combination of pple to watch this flick with right.... well wat to do..... hehe...

Well coming back to the movie, it was a lil predictable, like your boy meets girl & that whole nine yards. But it was quite interesting though. I mean come on man.... you've got "Mr McDreamy" acting in it... that sld be good enough yeah. The movie plot is pretty muc abt Tom (Patrick Dempsey), whos life is good - he’s sexy and successful, not to mention he can always rely on his best friend Hannah (Michelle Monaghan). When she goes to Scotland on a business trip, Tom is stunned at how empty life is without her. He resolves to propose to her when she returns but is floored when she becomes engaged to a handsome and wealthy Scotsman and plans to move overseas. Tom agrees to be her ‘maid’ of honor but only so he can try to woo Hannah and stop the wedding before it’s too late.

My RATINGS:- I'll give it 3.5 popcorns, just for the sake of the charming cast.

The next movie i went to watch with was with my daddy & it was the much awaited 'The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian'. I recall fragments of instances while i was growing up when my mother used to read the storybook to my brother and i. I was a lil kid at the edge of seat, super eager to watch the flick.

The plot is pretty straight forward. It's a year after their first adventure in Narnia, the Pevensie siblings (Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy) are pulled back in by Susan's magic horn. They find that hundreds of years have passed and Narnia is now ruled by the bloodthirsty General Miraz, uncle to the true heir, Prince Caspian, who is now in exile. The children must find Caspian and help him get rid of Miraz. I totally enjoyed the movie, especially with all the amazing graphics and visal effects.

My RATINGS:- I'll give it 4.5 popcorns, for the awwsome visual effects

The next movie I caught was with my buddies from work. After a freaking LONG LONG day, we all decided tat we need a good laugh. Great enought it was a thursday night and it was the opening day for the movie 'Get Smart'. I recall watch the old television series of the same name. Still remember having tat puzzled look when the actor used a freakin shoe as a phone. Weird but funny. Anyway, the remake of the movie was... ohh i shall i put it... it was ok.. like luke warm ya know... Nothing great nor nothing bad.... just average. But Steve Carell did a lil justice for the infamous character Maxwell Smart.

The plot is tat,Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell) is on a mission to thwart the latest plot for world domination by the evil crime syndicate known as KAOS. When the headquarters of U.S. spy agency Control is attacked and the identities of its agents compromised, the Chief (Alan Arkin) has no choice but to promote his ever-eager analyst Maxwell Smart, who has always dreamt of working in the field alongside stalwart superstar Agent 23 (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson). Smart is partnered instead with the only other agent whose identity has not been compromised: the lovely-but-lethal veteran Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway). As Smart and 99 get closer to unraveling KAOS' master plan — and each other — they discover that key KAOS operative Siegfried (Terence Stamp) and his sidekick Shtarker (Kenneth Davitian) are scheming to cash in with their network of terror. Given little field experience and even less time, Smart — armed with nothing but a few spy-tech gadgets and his unbridled enthusiasm — must defeat KAOS if he is to save the day.

My RATINGS:- I'll give it 3 popcorns, for the sake of making me laugh

I've still got a couple more movies tat i'll like to talk abt... but i'm too darn sleepy already. So that's all for NOW folks.

Upset

Oh my word!! I just saw my roster for next week and i really feel like crying. It's yet another week of working afternoon shift.... It's been like almost 7 FREAKING weeks since i've seen daylight. Technically we're suppose to rotate our shifts... but the word here in question is "suppose"... argh....

I came home today and told my dad that yet again i'm on the late shift. Damn the look on his face... i was abt to crap in my pants... he was soooooo angry. I kindda understand where he's coming from. Coz i barely see my own family these day, other then my days off that is. I mean i live under the same roof but i only see my dad when he picks me from work; i see my mum only like umm... rarely these days, i only get to talk to her on the phone and my brother.. shessh it's even worst. I only see him once in a VERY blue moon.

Looks like i really need to voice out to my managers. Coz i seriously thought they'll realize that it's been soo darn long since i did the morning shift. Plus this WHOLE thing is affecting the wonderful relationship that i had with my friends. Oh god.... save me!....
